Russia hosts lineup from Iran

The 2018 International Environmental Film Festival "Green Vision" in Russia has hosted two Iranian film productions in its 23rd edition.

'13 Seconds' by Milad Tangshir and 'Pet Man' by Marzieh Abrarpaidar are Iran representatives at the festival.

'13 Seconds' short film is an impressionistic look at the afterwards of a devastating earthquake which hit Iran on November 2017.

Marzieh Abrarpaidar's 'Pet Man' tells the story of a pet shop owner who is sleeping in the shop. He nightmares himself in a scary cage with other animals. Trying to break the cage, he faces a barrier every time.

The animation has so far taken part at a number of international events, including the 40th Festival international du Court Metrage in France, the 21st Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival and the 2017 edition of the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival in Austria.

‘Pet Man’ won the award for best animated film in the third NEZ International Film Festival in India and also an award at the Sao Paulo Times Film Festival in Brazil. In addition, it’s been nominated in the 10th International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival.

International Environmental Film Festival "Green Vision" aims at raising environmental awareness with the help of visual media.

The festival began on November 20 and will run until November 23, 2018 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
